WBCQ is a "free speech" brokered-time SW station with multiple transmitters in Monticello, Maine. What I posted was what ran on 01-31-26. I have an off-air copy I need to upload to my archive.org account. It sounds like bad AM radio. WBCQ owner Al Weiner was a friend of cult leader R. G. Stair.

The storm played holy hell with the ionosphere, fading HF two-way radio into murk and making shortwave broadcasting a game of patience.....but I cannot complain, that is just how solar weather works, the crapshoot element is always there.

Its only failing is that it believes that Arthur Leigh Allen was the Zodiac (because the guy who wrote the book "Zodiac" is based on believed that). Otherwise, it's a very good police procedural.

In the military this is known as "TDY" or temporary duty and it happens everywhere, especially when certain jobs are understaffed, like Graves Detail, or there is a major task to be done. That they are raiding Fed Law for bodies to do ICE scutwork shows what a monomaniac S. Miller is.

SCTV had a bunch of talented performers, but she and Andrea Martin could play the funniest parodies of stars and types of stars (or just types of people) I'd ever seen -- Catherine O'Hara's ability to act physically sold any parody just that much more.

Yes, the Phoenix Program in S. Vietnam started in the summer of 1967, but all the elements beforehand took anywhere from 15 years to three to emerge before it was all marshaled into a specialized Gestapo for hunting VC cadre chiefs. Ideas from Algeria and WWII-occupied Ukraine took time to flow.

USAID's "Public Safety" was used as a cut-out by the CIA to move cash to the PRUs (Provincial Reconnaissance Units), who were the muscle of the Phoenix Program. The CIA wanted PRU members (all South Vietnamese) to join the National Police, but that was a pay cut, so they didn't. (D. Valentine.)
