The Greatest Player that I Covered in my career. I first saw him play in Person in a Doubleheader vs the Yankees in July 1979 . Always entertaining and fun to talk to pre and Post game , especially watching him play cards or dominos in the clubhouse. Hard to believe it’s been one year.

If you are of a certain age , you will remember this graphic. Peter Arnett along with Bernard Shaw and John Holliman broadcasted continuous coverage for the 1st 16 hours of the Gulf War in 1991. I remember watching this at work and later when I got home .
