A picture of a recent YouTube poll I conducted asking if people want a tip jar. 80% are in support and the other 20% are saying Yes, but can't/won't. The visible comment reads: "My brother in Christ of your suffering through the loud house you might as well get a little cash"

Entire posts reads:

It's been a little while since Part 2 of the 6,000 Subscriber Livestream. I’ve been heavily focused on the job hunt this month, which is why uploads have been sparse. That being said, the definitive edition of the 6,000 Subscriber Livestream will be uploaded this weekend! (And happy belated Thanksgiving to those who celebrated!)
The Purpose of This Poll
During the last livestream, several people asked if they could donate or offer tips. As I've said before, I've always viewed this channel as a hobby that happens to pay, not a career. My main goal was never to "nickel and dime" the audience, and ad revenue has been enough for me.
My view remains that if I were to accept money, I want to make it genuinely worth your time. (At most, I'd eventually love to do a channel mascot sticker, but that's a long way off.)
Given these requests, I wanted to gauge the community's support through this poll: Would you be supportive if I set up a voluntary tip jar (Ko-fi, Patreon, etc.) for the channel?
If this happens, please know it will never be a requirement. It would simply be a way for those who wish to offer extra support to do so. I would mention it briefly at the end of videos and link it on the Linktree.

As someone who does "freelancing" as a YouTuber that is making ad rev;
I agree with everything here, especially the pay the most I ever got was like $300.

The last part of this about time investment is a little off for me because I've been focusing too hard on getting an actual job vs making videos
