i tried to explain this to a lot of liberals after 2020, that i think the working from home media and info economy class really underestimate how much of the class of workers who had to keep working through the pandemic really realized no one cared if we died and no one was going to help us.

there are more democrats in texas than there are in almost any 'blue' state. there are more republicans in californica than there are in almost any 'red' state. but to both groups one of those two states is completely irredeemable and the people who live there don't deserve basic rights.
