@therunawayguys.bsky.social After years of watching bits and pieces of the playthroughs, in 2017 I sat down and watched through all of the Mario Party playthroughs back to back while using an exercise bike daily. I ended up losing over 30 pounds! So glad to see y'all back on them again :)

Taisen Puzzle-dama (1994)
Decent Puyo clone. I think the lack of offsetting in return of more complex downstacking is interesting. It's nothing special but I think this is a fun puzzler for what it is and the penguin is cute.

The Simpsons - S1 (1989-1990)
I've always heard that season 1 is pretty weak, and you know compared to what I've seen from later seasons maybe, but this was still fun. The comedy is still generally great, they clearly care about the characters, and there's a lot of charm.

Easily the best pack since 7. Doominate is a great funny haha game, Cookie Haus is a really solid drawing game, Hear Say is really good dumb fun, and Legends of Trivia and Suspectives are some of the best of their categories.

Played the weird U.S. PS1 version that seems to use a later engine & has some different songs. Weird thing that exists. Anyway, I really like DDR. I'm not the best at it but it's satisfying to play well in, and the track list here is solid.

There are highlight levels here that breath new life into the series, but the whole is still pretty average. The game is padded to hell, so many We Love concepts are reused in lame ways, and the level design is noticeably weak.

Fun game! The atmosphere is exquisite and the map design is really clever with fun platforming gimmicks and puzzles everywhere. The items are also pretty cool, they get a lot out of them. Except the mock disc. That one makes me frown.

I really wanted to like this game. The art and atmosphere are great, hell even the horror it can hit at points, but the writing is just not good. Everyone feels like an exposition machine yet motivations and connections feel so unfounded.

This game has an unforgettable style. And for all the slow and annoying moments, there's a ton more scenes with great, personal and emotional character writing. I can't stop thinking about the ending.

The animation has some downgrades but there's some cleaner slapstick and such, and the songs are still banging even if there's more that are "fake" here. The writing is a little worse on average but it's still good silly fun.
High plateau probably.
