Balldale has an official population of 168 and the local pub just won best bush pub in NSW. Free camping in the reserve across from the pub so we've taken the van up for an overnighter and to experience it. #PubCamping

Weather warming up means I've been shucking the last of the snow peas for tomorrow's curry. Such a beautiful colour. #VegeGarden

Think this is the first time I've seen a "dangerous person" category on ABC Emergency. ( I'm not really a taxonomy nerd 🤓)

It's about time I dumped my Adobe subscription. Anyone got a suggestion for a good Lightroom replacement? #AdobeSucks

Random road trip thoughts. I like staying in free RV spots. Since the camper is fully self contained the main purpose I have for caravan parks is when I need to do laundry or have a full sized shower. The photo shows last night's camp in Merredin, about a dozen vans an caravans on site. #RoadTrip

Day 31 of the road trip and after dropping the copilot at the airport, headed east to the WA wheatbelt. What's more iconic than painted silos? #RoadTrip

Day 29 of the road trip and what else do you find on Rottenest Island but a baby quokka. Of course the cycling, the lighthouse and the fabulous bays were pretty good as well #RoadTrip

Day 21 of the road trip was a big day sightseeing around the Cape Leeuwin area. The Cape is the south western most tip of Australia and where the Indian Ocean meets the Southern Ocean. Wild seas, wild winds but a great day. #RoadTrip

Day 19 of the road trip was spent is the pretty coastal town of Busselton. Best known for its jetty, at 1.841km it's the longest timber-piered jetty in the southern hemisphere. Made for a great walk out and back. #RoadTrip

Day 12 of the road trip took me from Esperance to Hyden, WA. As an old Aggie I loved travelling through tens of thousands of hectares of canola and wheat crops. Found this great bit of silo art by Jerome Davenport in Varley. #RoadTrip #SiloArt #StreetArt

Free stops for self contained RVs are a controversial topic in WA. Some shires have removed stops while others have added facilities. Last night I stopped in the free camp in Norseman which is gaining a good reputation among RVers. About 20 vans there last night.

Day 7, and the road trip takes me from Ceduna to Nullarbor Roadhouse. Got a great view of the bight, the cliffs and the sand dunes,as well as about a dozen Southern Right Whales, most with calves, just off the cliffs. #RoadTrip

One of the things about long road trips is the need for housekeeping. Day six was spent in Ceduna, getting laundry done, restocking the pantry, sweeping out the van and filling gas bottles. Ceduna has a good bakery and a pub on the foreshore. #RoadTrip

Day five was up the South Australian west coast, from Port Lincoln to Ceduna. Fascinating countryside, particularly seeing sheep grazing up to sand dunes and surf beaches. Murphys Haystacks are interesting rock formations south of Streaky Bay en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murphy%... #RoadTrip

Road trip day 4 - Port Augusta to Port Lincoln. I haven't been to the Eyre Peninsula before. Interesting rural landscape with farms backing onto sand dunes on Spencer Gulf. Gusts at 50+ kph so not great for driving. #RoadTrip

Day 3 of the east-west road trip. Catching up with family overnight, then on to Port Augusta through 40+ kph winds. Some parts of Port Augusta are very pretty while others are very raw. #RoadTrip
