My friend and I may be a bit too cynical (we are LOL) and reading into it too much… but we’ve both seen enough poverty to side eye this sort of rhetoric.

I get what the article is saying, align & live by with your values etc rather than having things purely for status, but it still comes off as having its own thin veneer of classism running though it. Reinventing collectivism like it’s a new trend. How long will it last?

A sort of gentrification of going without, even though those that choose it can opt out at any time. Creating a status out of what poor people have done purely for survival….

I shared this article with a friend and had an ensuing discussion of its contents, generally around the grotesque nature of humanity and its inevitable gorging and consumerism. And now, the status of having no status seems to be a thing….

Wow! So much to say about this lol, the intro beats (epically awesome for ND brains!), the multi layering of electronic almost jungle bird like sounds, and vocals I wasn’t expecting. Only eclipsed by the cover shot in a white sports suit and one of the BEST Tshirts ever! Absolute Gold,TY for sharing
