"A reliable way to make people believe in falsehoods is frequent repetition, because familiarity is not easily distinguished from truth. Authoritarian institutions and marketers have always known this fact."

The @financialtimes.com has a new Monetary Policy Radar. That's good but it's apparently not included in my premium account.

As a longtime subscriber, I find it frustrating to discover that I no longer have access to all articles.

I wish I could remember where I found this, so I could give credit. But seeing your picture makes it a perfect fit

"Like other writers in Europe, [Adam] Smith denounced the cruelty and injustice that marked Europe's commercial relations with the rest of the world, and for which one day a price would have to be paid."

Elon Musk needs to do some more research:

Republicans often talk about cutting the deficit when Democrats are in office, but historically, it's Democrats who have actually worked to reduce it, while Republican administrations have run up larger deficits.

Was ist denn da los, CDU?

What's the solution?
March 18, 2025 at 7:22 AM
100% this! Coming from a very conservative journalist:

1) CDU rejects Habeck's proposal to jointly establish a special fund for infrastructure and the economy.
2) CDU campaigns against the "worst economy minister in history."
3) CDU wins the election.

To everybody working for the US administration: defend your country by standing up for the constitution, the rule of law, and democracy! Be like Alexander Vindman, be like Fiona Hill, be like Peter Strzok, be like James Comey, be like Marie Yovanovitch!
