That's lesbian nix. I've used it when I used nix. Other than spending 15 min rebuilding from source it was great. But I think there's some github workflows +cache program that can speed that up..

Good practices but I was kinda expecting flux manifests and some sample app manifests present on the repo, maybe i'm missing the point of the repo?

That's probably true, but i've been hearing about it for a while with no development on there. Sure, you can build operators without the sdk, but for the developer is a much better experience.

Operator SDK with rust would be an awesome start. Until that's there I don't think we will see much traction to be honest.
