I can see value in expediting bureaucracy especially for infrastructure but everyone in Italy sees that the labeling of the bridge as "vital military infrastructure" is BS and just a shortsighted move to ignore red tape. They will not build a big port, they will build this stupid bridge.

Disagree. Regulations, especially those the government plans to ignore for the sake of military usefulness should not be overlooked. The debacle about this bridge is older than me, I don't want another Morandi bridge just because this government wants a political victory.
