Recommender algorithms controlled by unfriendly foreign powers threaten democracy and security. They artificially boost authoritarians and break society apart. They silence the rest of us.

Isn't this the point though? "We want the bureaucrats to be traumatically affected"

In Finland, it's "hyvä veli -verkosto" (literally "good brother network") but means pretty much the same. Probably not continental enough though 🙂

which is all about how these sports betting companies are set up to profit at almost any cost, and deliberately at the expense of their clients. The other seasons are also very worthy of your time.

That's what I meant by intuition, something you "just know". I didn't mean to say you were guessing.

Thank you all for the info and the discussion, I appreciate it!

Canada and Russia were just examples, but I understand your point. It would be good to know for example how "mainly" is mainly. I understand the intuition but it would be good to have statistics as well 👍

This makes much sense intuitively, although I'd love to see hard numbers! Are Romanian "plumbers" in Canada or Russia that few and far between? Comparisons with voting patterns in other Eastern European countries would also be great, I hope someone ends up researching this.

I understand your points, but my question was about Europe vs rest of the world...
November 27, 2024 at 6:11 AM
I assume at least #2 is about the same among the diaspora in the rest of the world when compared to the one in Europe, but how about #1? Is the difference so massive that it could explain these results?
November 26, 2024 at 9:11 PM
So is the Romanian diaspora in Europe inherently more conservative than in the rest of the world or is this the result of a massive propaganda operation? I went through various countries from different parts of the world and the difference seems to be massive compared with Europe.
