If someone wants time and investment, they have to show a direction and some positive improvements, and Frank has been able to show neither over quite a number of games. As you say, it is getting worse I can't see the board buying players in January on that basis alone.

The number of performances that have stunk the house out, I am surprised we even managed to have the points we do.

He's just not getting them performing individually or collectively. We can discuss the lack of quality and so on of the squad, but they are definitely playing individually and collectively worse than they should be. A large part of that is how he's asking them to play.

Bring it back to the question of, is Frank getting the most out of each individual and the answer is nowhere near. Other teams are doing more with the same or less quality.

Was thinking the same as you and made me realise how badly Frank is doing atm. I heard people making excuses we have a bad squad, but he is making them individually and collectively worse. 1st job of a manager is to get the best from what he has.

You don't have to do much against Forest, just not make horrendous mistakes. They more or less rely on you to make chances for them and defend until you do.

Marginally it probably was a foul, but getting a yellow afterwards is not going to change anything. Romero lost his head because he gave the ball away for the 1st goal with a sloppy pass. Likewise the 2nd yellow more stupidity for kicking out when we were looking likely to get a 2nd goal.

Part of the game is getting the ref on your side. Not the best ref either, in general. But you need to adapt to that.

If they kept their heads it wasn't great but we had the slim edge in the game. Too often playing it safe when we break. Kolo up front with Richarlison coming on as sub if needed worked. Looked better when they HAD to go for it even though we had 10 men.

As Richarlison is so erratic and sometimes seems invisible throughout a game, at least it can give the option of Kolo central with Johnson running off him.

He's one of the few that will make runs all day to get on the end of direct balls, which might be an idea to mix things up so we are not so predictable and easy to defend against.

So rigid, just try something different during the game, get Kudus 10 mins on the left, get Johnson making runs from deep and try to hit some long passes, just try things. Just kept the same for 90mins....

We are very predictable, so much so the opponent knows exactly how to pressure us before the game starts, and we don't seem to be willing to change during the game either, just keep on doing exactly the same build up.

If we are using that as the marker to compare against it is very underwhelming what we are getting on a regular basis.
