The number of people okay with Trump militarizing our cities is deeply disturbing.

We should invest more time ensuring that school curriculums provide more time teaching Civics/US Government/Free-Enterprise/Economics, because the number of people showing they have zero knowledge on these subjects is astounding.

It has been 16 days since Trump took office, let that sink in for a second as you consider the chaos unfolding in front of our eyes.

I heard the statement "New Orleans is a resilient city" multiple times yesterday and I'm having a difficult time with the statement. It feels as though it is an effort to once again minimize the hurt and pain associated with a traumatic event.

The holiday season is upon us. Yet, not everyone is okay. The holiday season can be a time of intense grief, depression, and anxiety. Spend time with those struggling, an ear that listens, a shoulder to lean on. Give thanks for the people in your life.
