Also, it's funny, I've never considered Frank Black a "literally me" character even though I suspect my girlfriend may watch the show and go "Oh, that's where you get that from." He's more aspirational. A role model. The kind of person I'd want to be, not who I think I'm like.

Fun fact: It was originally Johnny Cash who was supposed to play Frank's dad but he got sick, so instead they cast the late great Darren McGavin (giving one of the greatest performances I've ever seen) which is ironic because on X-Files they wanted to cast him as Mulder's dad.
