Why do cars have blinkers? And why do people turn their blinker on when any decent driver around them would already know what that person is about to do? If you don’t use your blinker when it can inform other drives of your pending action, why bother?

Equity. I recently posted on FB why women deserve bigger increases to catch up with comparable men’s salaries. This exists for C-suite salaries. They get a higher percentage increase AND that is based on a higher yearly salary. Hence, the gap between C-suite and worker bees will only get worse.

The zipper merge – use it. Believe it or not, it really does improve traffic flow. And it’s not just “on paper”. If people only merge at one point, then you don’t have one lane constantly slowing down for the mergers, and the other lane flying past that lane.
