Updated news: Trial Kits "are expected to start arriving in mid-August through September" so I suspect Canada will be on the later end of that bracket.

I'm going to tell my kids this was D&D

Layout template by u/YaAlex Roleplaying games began as an oral folktale tradition in late-20th century North America. In a roleplaying game, you play a character of your own creation and take them on adventures created by and refereed by another player called the Gamesmaster (GM). The first ever roleplaying game was known as D&D, and this is that game. D&D uses special polyhedral dice that come in a special clear plastic box you get from a special shop. You MUST have your own set. Each dice has a name - “D,” followed by the maximum number it can roll: D100, D20, D12, D10, D8, D6, and D4. The Rules The Dice When you try to do something interesting, the GM can ask you to roll all seven special dice to see what happens. The D100 is the birthday dice. (The D100 is actually two dice - one with the tens, one with the units.) If you roll your current age, set all the other dice to any other result you desire. Congratulations! The D20 is the decider dice. When you attempt to do something difficult, the GM comes up with a number you need to beat or match on the D20 to succeed.
