Now watching. This movie kinda slaps. Die Hard with Santa who's also basically John Wick and a splash of Home Alone for good measure. Some genuine laugh out loud moments, too. I imagine this would have been a fun theater-going experience when it came out.

Received the final decision today: the denial has been overturned and my insurance will be covering my surgery. Words cannot express how relieved I feel right now.

Interesting thing I learned about the movie Clerks today: when the MPAA initially gave it an NC-17, Miramax hired Alan Dershowitz to sue them and get it down to an R rating.
