Would love to learn more and get involved!
Indeed, which is worrying quite frankly, that sort of *actually* impossible situation benefits the far right.

It certainly means the public has a distinct lack of consensus on what action should be taken.

They did, it just isn’t presented in this graphic. Even including that there is no overall consensus worryingly.
March 24, 2025 at 2:20 PM
If you look into the data yougov have overall that was an option, there is still a distinct lack of consensus worryingly.

What about this? I heavily agree we need to build more houses im not dissagreeing with that in any way, i apologise if that was not clear :)

shun those who voted for labour, or focus on criticising them. We mustnt alienate ourselves from the large portion of the population who were tricked by labour, we need instead to help them learn to see labour for what is has become, not how it was presented. 2/2

I don’t doubt that you did, but it doesn’t mean people saw, or knew wether to believe you. My anecdotal experience aside, it can be incredibly hard for people to know who they should listen to in politics, or find other voices than those the mainstream media supports.

I do not think we should 1/x

setting a direct financial target purely for the sake of reducing gvmt debt or meeting rachel reeves financial rules at the cost of our public services.

rather than to cut bureaucracy, It suggests an altogether more right wing motivation with this policy. I can only hope we learn more information about how labour intend to cut specifically “waste” rather than important things, and how they know there is 15% of “waste” specifically, rather than 2/3

My main worry though is that the lib dems/their party structure allowed the coalition to happen, along with its members that supported it. I’m not sure i can trust it can’t happen again.

As well, i struggle to believe that the lib dems truly believe what they say rather than say it to gain votes.

I wholeheartedly agree! Lack of consequences for lies and misleading claims, paired with the abysmal fptp system are to blame for this! I just believe it is important we do not begrudge the people who cannot spend time learning about politics.
March 23, 2025 at 12:39 AM
I agree that labour stated they would not change tory policies, but £5-6billion of cuts to some of the most vulnerable in our society was not in their manifesto! We need to make sure we don’t assume all labour voters supported this, we mustn’t alienate ourselves from them

I wish i could choose not to fight this battle, but i don’t want to watch the planet burn, for the sale of all the future generations who i hope will be better than ours have.
March 23, 2025 at 12:24 AM
I’d say that honestly so many who voted labour didn’t want this.
March 23, 2025 at 12:20 AM
Yes, but not only do these cuts target some of the most vulnerable in our society, but they disregard the massive amounts of wealth the top 1% of the UK hold. The labour government should tax the uber wealthy in order to help our country, not harm the poor or vulnerable.
March 23, 2025 at 12:14 AM
This is the stance people held for labour at the last election, and look where it has got us. We need to stop being so “tactical” and support parties/groups that offer real change if we wish to change the political cycle/shift to the right.
March 23, 2025 at 12:12 AM
It’s not even an infiltration, just the total loss of a moral standing within the labour party. They sacrificed too much to win. I personally support the Greens at the moment, as i believe they offer real leftist change.

would then take on that debt (i believe, please do correct me if i am wrong) /2
March 23, 2025 at 12:06 AM
As much as the government bears responsibility for the water crisis, this isn’t correct. A deal was made with investors who put forwards the £3 billion. This deal was then approved by the high court. This said however, should thames water go bankrupt and be emergency nationalised - the government 1/

I don’t personally believe we should attempt to reduce housing prices by harming those who are already struggling, forcing them into homelessness or increasing debt. We should instead regulate and introduce stronger rent control, so that those exploiting the poor will bear the load instead.
March 22, 2025 at 11:59 PM
It’s not the number of people, there is nearly 700,000 empty homes, of which 265,00 are long term empty. Including holiday short lets and second homes that number reaches 1 in 25 houses empty! The problem is the government thats complicit in the predatory behaviour of landlords and the top 1%

I don’t think they underestimate it, i think they’re terrified of it, so make sure to keep us divided.
