I was disappointed that C4 of @criticalrole.bsky.social wouldn’t be in Exandria. But, good lord. I am a convert. Storytelling, let alone fantasy storytelling, will not be the same after what @brennanleemulligan.bsky.social has set up. I am as strapped in as ever.

Huge fantasy day today. Did so much in my current Tears of the Kingdom playthru. Made good progress in The Legend of Drizzt: Homeland. Told myself I’m gunna have a nice calm day at work tomorrow. I love fantastical tales.

I did so much lore writing tonight. Very exciting developing a series of mountain towns that are the last remnants of a once great kingdom, still holding on the the proud traditions of their people. Very dunedain, very post-calamity hyrule

Anyone have any thoughts on which Los Angeles neighborhood needs an indie bookstore the most? I’m looking for a space for Sons and Daughters Books. Ideally in a community that values art and diversity and is at least a couple miles away from another indie bookstore :)

I’m watching Dimension 20: The Unsleeping City on one screen, writing homebrew feats and backgrounds for my campaign on a second screen, and the Players Handbook is open on a third. I fear there is no coming back from the Dungeon Master Lifestyle.

I may be a little drunk but it’s just incredible to watch pre- and post-pandemic storytelling from masters like @brennanleemulligan.bsky.social & @matthewmercer.bsky.social and realize they lived through the same thing I did and came out the other side still doing what they loved at such a high lvl

I absolutely had this marketing trend where brands start the thing by apologizing. Then they’re apologizing for how great their product is. Shit is so stupid. I know the technique but I’ve seen it so often I can’t name a single brand that memorably uses it

Mexican leading andor. Guatemalan leading the sequels. Chilean leading the mandalorian. Venezuelan leading Star Wars: Outlaws. Puerto Rican as one of the most important senators in the republic. Diego Luna was right. There’s a cabal of Latinos in space and it is incredible

I guess I get why Star Wars: Outlaws didn’t get amazing reviews when it came out. But I’m having fun. I think people need to remember that some games are “gamer” games and others are entry level games. And some fall somewhere in between. I think SW:O is somewhere in between. But closer to entry lvl
