It’s so much weirder now - bet you’d still love it!

An original. Nice work, Will.

That's just gorgeous, Loretta. I could look at it all day.

Two beautiful images, Rick. The abstract shapes are a nice distraction from the 'real' world.

The pollen is quite reactive to the uv! Thank you 💙💜

Wow, love the 1970s style illustration. Congrats on the exposure.

This Coleus flower smells strongly like skunk. I think it's pretty neat looking, but it needs to go wait outside after our glamour shots session.

These are amazingly weird. And strangely, there is one growing in my backyard in California. It's a huge vine that has taken over a large tree.

Thank you, will definitely check it out.

Little bit of magic, Paul. I love the translucent layers.

As a young kid, I had to weed yellow star thistles out of fields in 38°C heat for, if I was lucky, a measly dollar an hour. It's taken me a long time to come around to their non-awful qualities!

Wow! That Horrodilum is fantastic. What a name, too. Now I will carefully look into each of these while studiously avoiding news of current events. Thank you for that!

We have an endemic red variety, Cirsium occidentale, for which I have just ordered seeds. (photo by S Weakley)

I imagine they're a good place to find and photograph certain insects?

I had forgotten that fact! It does warm the heart to know they are culturally and formally appreciated.

Have you ever noticed how beautiful thistles are? We have so many varieties here in California. They're generally regarded as "noxious weeds" but they're an extremely important food source for pollinators, and help restore poor soil. They are wonderful.

When I was five years old, I snuck a frosting flower from my cousin's wedding cake and devoured it in one huge bite. Friends, it was the most awful, bitter thing I had ever tasted. Just horribly disillusioned.

These milkweed flowers, which look like delicious little candies, bring it all back.

She's coyly batting eyelashes! Another charming portrait.

That's a nice one, John. What a lovely critter!

These are so cool!

Awesome, Gray! Looks like we’re having a conversation.

Unreal beauty. The straight-up view with falling leaves is like a dream. Gorgeous work.

This is lovely. These scenes can be so disorienting in person, so your ordered composition is striking.

Gorgeous, Alex! I feel like I just opened up a book of 18th century German engravings.

Probably so! I live in a high rise and it felt like something slammed into the sliding glass doors. Not the highest number on the scale, but probably one of the hardest I’ve felt.
