In Santa Monica we just defeated two reactionary incumbents who'd ridden COVID into office four years ago, and seated four new young progressives: Dan Hall, Ellis Raskin, Barry Snell, and Natalya Zernitskaya. That more than restores a progressive majority, and prepares us to fight Trump as needed.

There is still progressive hope in Southern California. Santa Monica is about to seat four new young progressives on its City Council, having defeated reactionary incumbents who snuck in under cover of COVID.

Our entire slate, endorsed by all five local progressive political groups and the LA County Democratic Party, ran thousands of votes ahead of two reactionary incumbents who rode COVID into office four years ago. Now if only the People’s Republic of Santa Monica wasn’t embedded in Trump’s Amerika…

Miller hardly is representative of Samohi or Santa Monica. We just elected four new young progressives to the Santa Monica City Council, including the first black man in fifty years, the first out gay man, and the first out bisexual woman.
