Trump has so far largely ignored the law. Great if he can be stopped using the law but the Trump regime fights dirty. He also has most of the Supreme Court in his pocket.

Hitler had the ultimate responsibility but many of those who carried out his demands escaped largely because there were too many of them to arrest and prosecute. Hopefully that won’t be the case in the US but I’m sceptical.

More Americans need to understand this. If Trump has his way it can only get a lot worse from now on. If he’s not stopped he will be encouraged to fully suppress the people. Even enforcing curfews to maintain control. It’s the full dictator’s playbook. I can’t believe that I’m saying this in 2026!

What Trump does next shouldn’t be hard to predict. Dictator methodology. Gagging of the media, intimidation of ethnic minorities, arrests of opponents, manipulation of the legal system, election rigging, voter suppression etc, etc, etc.

Trump’s anticipated that by sacking potentially resistant senior officers. Use of the army is his ultimate weapon against mass resistance by the people but how far they will go in the execution (literally) of his plans. We have to hope that enough of them have a conscience.

Americans be clear. Trump is likely to be using this and other incidents that ICE have provoked as an excuse to bring in the army in order to postpone the midterms. It looks likely that he will also enforce curfews to further limit your liberties. The standard methodology of fascist dictatorships.
