Quakers in Britain has been refused permission to give evidence in a landmark legal challenge to the UK government's proscription of Palestine Action as a terrorist group.

The raids come just hours before an important press conference was due to take place, where the Lift The Ban campaign were to confirm over 1,000 commitments have been made and that Saturday’s action will go ahead.

The opposition to the ban on Palestine Action is unstoppable.

AP: More than 70 people were arrested on Saturday at protests against the Palestine Action group being proscribed a terrorist organisation.

Some 81 organizations are already proscribed under the U.K. act, including the militant groups Hamas and al-Qaida.

71 arrests have been made at protests across the UK against Palestine Action being proscribed a terror group.

Forces in London, Cardiff and Manchester each made a number of arrests on suspicion of terrorism offences (holding cardboard signs).

1. Yesterday, 86 people were arrested in the UK under the Terrorism Act 2000 for holding signs saying "I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action."
They are the opposite of terrorists. They were protesting *against* terrorism. 🧵
