The Cervical Cancer Awareness Month ends tomorrow.

But education, advocacy, and conversations must continue.

#RaiseYourVoice

Keep learning.

Keep demanding better.

Informed people ask questions.

They seek care earlier.

They protect themselves and others.

Knowledge is power, and protection.

Silence around Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights does not protect young people.

It leaves them vulnerable.

Comprehensive education is a public health intervention.

When information is scarce, facilities are distant,
and stigma is normalized, people arrive late.

Accountability must sit with systems, not survivors.

The quiet decision to show up, do the work, and stay consistent is what shapes outcomes over time. Start the week grounded, focused, and committed to progress, even when the energy feels low. Consistency is the real power move.

Education shapes how people understand their bodies.
How early they seek care.
How seriously they take symptoms.
Health outcomes begin with exactly that.

Too many women are taught to normalize discomfort.
To ignore warning signs.

Listening to your body is not weakness.
It is self-preservation.

Health silence is often inherited.
So is fear.
But conversations can start now,
with honesty, care, and courage.

Misinformation does not exist in a vacuum.
It grows where education is absent, avoided, or incomplete.
To end myths, we must invest in honest, inclusive education.

A new week reminds us that change is not a one-time act, but a daily commitment. We show up again, to question harmful systems, to protect dignity, to center health, rights, and education, and to raise our voices where silence has done harm.

Prevention depends on more than personal responsibility.
It depends on access. Distance. Cost. Information.
And how safe someone feels walking into a health facility.
Awareness without access is incomplete.
Health justice means closing that gap.

Cervical cancer screening saves lives.
Yet many learn about it too late.

Awareness delayed is prevention denied.
Knowledge must come before fear.

Many of us were taught to stay quiet about our bodies.
To avoid “shameful” questions.
To endure instead of inquire.

But silence has never protected women’s health.
Information does.

This month, we choose to speak.
We choose to know.
We choose to prevent.

January reminds us why women’s health matters. As part of the key dates we’re highlighting this month, Cervical Cancer Awareness Month puts a spotlight on HPV, HIV, and the simple truth that too many women in Kenya still struggle to access basic screening and treatment.

Kenya is built on the courage of those who came before us and the hope of those shaping our tomorrow. This Jamhuri Day, we honour our journey, celebrate our people, and recommit to a country where everyone can thrive. Happy #JamhuriDay2025.

As the 16 Days of Activism come to a close, the stories we’ve heard and the demands we’ve amplified remind us that ending violence against women and girls, offline and online, requires sustained action. Our commitment must remain daily, deliberate, & unshakeable.

We stand united to honor the inherent dignity and rights of every person.

#InternationalHumanRightsDay reminds us that freedom, equality, and justice are not privileges, they are rights.

We must protect the vulnerable, and ensure everyone lives with dignity.

Kenya needs stronger cybercrime laws, robust data-protection, and effective reporting systems so survivors of digital violence can seek justice. Perpetrators must be held accountable, whether online or offline.
Digital spaces must be safe for all women and girls.

As the 16 Days of Activism continue, we must confront a painful truth: digital spaces can fuel the radicalization, misogyny, and extremist ideas that lead to real-world violence against women.

We strongly condemn this MP for promoting violence against girls. FGM is a barbaric violation of human rights, not a method to silence or control anyone. No child deserves torture disguised as “culture.”

The Constitution is clear: MPs are meant to provide oversight, not run government projects. When legislators cross into implementation, they weaken accountability and blur the very checks and balances meant to protect the public.

Technology-facilitated gender-based violence exposes women and girls to harassment, stalking, and non-consensual sharing of personal content, making digital spaces unsafe.
