Hateful free speech is still hate, & regardless of whether it's acknowledged or not, it still spreads. I could walk by you every day & say something hateful either to you or about you. Even if you don't acknowledge it, it will still affect you & those around you.

It's not so much that people say stuff you don't want to hear. Its the fact that ppl can be hateful & downright cruel. Plus, now there's a free-for-all to spread misinformation for the uneducated/gullible to believe & spread, causing unnecessaryfear/hate. Makes my brain cells hurt.
