I owned a tiny bookstore in downtown Raleigh and people would walk in and say "What a wonderful place" and "This makes me feel like i'm in New York City' and then walk back out without even buying a Soho Soda and thar's why I don't miss retail.

David Bromberg is the BEST. So lucky to have heard him and chatted with him at the Pier in the Cameron Village subway, and then even luckier to have caught him at Cat's Cradle, where he introduced us to the incomparable Rory Block.
