The whole shutdown boiled down to the one issue of ACA subsidies. Again the Dems caved on a promise for future action. Once reopened why haven't Dems insisted on 24 hr sessions devoted to the one singular issue? Are they happy to let it drag out well past signup time, as GOP doubtlessly plans?

Indeed. The GOP is 30 days away from their Holy Grail: the collapse of ACA. They have been unable to vote its repeal, they are going allow it to just collapse due to neglect

Its outrageous, but more infuriating is Johnson refusing to even convene Congress AT ALL during the govt shutdown. He wants to argue that they can't meet b/c...there's a shutdown...but their paychecks haven't stopped, the Senate continues to meet.

Wealth is now made in crypto market rather than the stock market. Stock market returns are now boring and irrelevant. Its much easier to pump and dump something that is illusory, that has no intrinsic value.

If Mr Lander had armed security, would they have been justified in shooting what appeared to be street gang members, attempting a kidnapping, assaulting their protectee?
