Absolutely agree. Need the best people in there.

Double their pay and give them jail time for any fiddling expenses.

Press arseholery and mediocre pay turns off normal types and attracts attention seekers and grubs.

Nicely put.
Educationally changed, dropped on their head at birth or as thick as mince. I suppose 1N can’t be too fussy. How many MPs have they had in how many years? I don’t understand why they get any airtime at all. Oh yes, burkha gimmick.

I was going to buy that one. Certainly will now.

batteries offer so many benefits, the biggest being energy density and therefore extra range. Cheaper is nice too.

Bye bye fossil fuel engines and as for hydrogen… that was never going to work.

charging stations to have onsite batteries which allows them to connect for higher charging rates. Doesn’t stress the grid. Can also recharge them when prices are low.

The charging speed is only an issue for those who don’t have EVs because they need something to whine about. Solid state

As more people get EVs, the truth comes out. I’ve had one for 2 years and charge with cheap electricity at night, slowly. I’ve charged 3 times away from home, each time it was when I needed a coffee, toilet, food etc.

Battery costs have fallen so low that it’s now a great business plan for

Glad to see I wasn’t the only one to get goosebumps watching the Donut Labs video.

I’m calling solid state batteries the next Kondratiev Cycle. If you have any fossil fuel shares, sell them now.

The future starts today.

Also makes Trumpies geopolitics look even dumber.

Yes, it’s too fast. Verge bikes have already said they will slow it down to 10 minutes (to allow riders to finish their lattes).

I wouldn’t worry, there are very few chargers capable of those speeds. It only means the battery can accept that speed of charge.

Finally some good news in 2026!

If half of this is true, combustion engines will become curiosities and collectors items from here.

Cova power could smash transport emissions and save millions $ from 2026.

Let’s see if our governments have the necessary spine…

The First Production All-Solid-State Battery Is Here, And It Promises 5-Minute Charging
Donut Lab claims it can build gigawatt-hours worth of solid-state batteries today without using any rare materials.

I didn’t have high hopes for her, but I was happy that the LNP elected their first female leader.

How disappointing. Devoid of initiatives, insight, principles, integrity and ideas. She has the delivery of a wet fart, thoroughly unpleasant. She comes off condescending, ignorant, sneering & flimsy.

A salient point.

Absolutely shocking to be saying there are too many Israeli immigrants at a time like this? These are disgraceful acts to make money and politics out of other peoples tragedy.

Would a federal RC investigate 1 nation and Advance in their endeavours to inflame racial tensions, create division & fear?

Hence huge increase in German defence spending this year, mandating a made in Europe purchase plan.

The only people to say no to the US is China and Russia.

They can walk into Greenland tomorrow and the only reaction will be the end of NATO.

Exactly why Putin got Trump elected.
January 5, 2026 at 1:16 AM
You’re maybe asking the wrong question there. Ask if NATO countries could operate against the US without US satellites, GPS, missile systems, F35 operations etc.

Rory Stewart said that most UK kit is useless against the US because of US intellectual property and ability to just ‘switch it off’.

The worst Roman emperors: Caligula, Nero, Commodus, Elagabalus, and Caracalla, known for cruelty, instability, extravagance, and tyranny. Caligula- insanity, Nero- extravagance, Commodus-self-deification, Elagabalus- sexual deviance, and Caracalla for brutality and crippling the state's finances.

No declaration of war,
No approval from congress.
No precedent.
Caracas is his Rubicon and he clearly thinks he’s the Emperor.

I couldn’t decide which one is most like him and then I realised, he’s as awful as all the worst Emperors.
