Gathering good people. Committed to regenerative systems.
Sometimes we need to step back and just make sure we're still awake to the world as it is.

Not fear, not fantasy, just meeting life in the moment.

This wonderful book has a LOT of words. I couldn't imagine my son sitting still all the way through, almost 20 minutes.

But I got to sit in the massage chair while he sat in my lap and I read him the whole book.

Even better?

We listened to Duke on the massage chair speakers while we read.

The perfect day for a patriotic protest against tyranny in the center of Sonora, and a big exciting win for the San Francisco 49ers!

Alison Bing has more talents than I can count.

One of these is bartending. This cocktail contribution is "The Journalist," but here amended to "The Journalist on Assignment in Tuolumne County."

Reduced myself to 204 lbs. and feeling decidedly...lighter.

Hard to embrace the label, but I think I'm a revolutionary. And this is the revolution our moment requires.

Thank you for this gift to the world John Fullerton and to the luminaries who are part of our larger coherence around a civilization that regenerates and restores the web of life.

Our creek shared her roaring face today.

I can't believe we get to live here!

Here to advise if you're the winning bid. I see agroforestry and greenhouse gardens for year round fresh produce, a deeply caring chef and actual catalytic programming that's not just there to comfort the most powerful.

This evening's sunset at the pier in Point Arena.

A fascinating evening at The Lightning Society in Brooklyn, put together by our friends Benjamin Von Wong and featuring Michael Mezzatesta and myself, all about the present and future of leaning into regenerative economics.

Our movement is in the air! It was a packed house!

Our son is developing quite the vocabulary and so I'm offering small nuggets of dad advice I hope will serve him well.

Become competent, not expert, at everything you touch.

Last night's sunset release of baby turtles on Playa La Ropa. The boy was immobilized and frankly concerned. We had to explain that they live in the ocean and are happy there.

The path to Zihuatenejo. And I feel this Mexican graffiti artist. We haven't been the best of neighbors.

More of autumn. Thanks Benjamin Von Wong for this shot of me co-hosting the Warm Data Lab at the Denizen retreat.

@nickjankel.bsky.social thanks again for popping up to SF from LA after your trip to Amsterdam.

Going into The Dark together was a transformative conversation for our community, reflecting on courage, introspection and the kind of initiations and medicine needed by so many right now in our society.
