Why does my compost book look like its been reading Endnotes?

I haven't read and of Lee's work yet but I've meaning to forever, and Allen-Paisant's Thinking With Trees is one of my favourite poetry books. I have definitely done more than I should over this last month, so forgive me if i am mostly in bed with my books for a while
