I guess there is an abundance of non OEM/compatibles/refurbished cartridge supply available as this cartridge was introduced 10 years ago in 2015, so I guess it is not that a bad idea to use it for an open printer, HP may have “invented” the cartridge, but it’s available not only from HP.

Disable secure boot in the bios. If you already have arch installed and want to dual boot. Do “sudo pacman -S efibootmgr os-prober”, uncomment the line GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER=false in /etc/default/grub and start from “Copy GRUB image into /boot/grub” in this doc:

I do! That was one of the reasons using it as my daily driver, learned a lot 🙂 The other reason was that my team dared me to switch to Arch as my daily driver 🤣 challenge accepted!

I guess it depends on how much effort you want to put in it to have everything working (the way you want) :)

🤣 well, I’m using all and have to agree, but with Arch Linux as my daily driver for a year now I can say everything I need works, having that said, it took me a considerable amount of time to get it the way I wanted - a new setup is completely declarative with chezmoi, not a lot of effort anymore

Only via the console when the “ForceCommand /sbin/nologin" line was added to /etc/ssh/sshd_config
