I often re-watch MST3K with the boyfriend. It's amazing to see just what people thought were ideas that were good enought to make, how they could do things with practical effects, and how bad some of those could be, too. Modern movies and shows stand on the shoulders of those pioneers. Good or bad.

He's been known to be an asshole bully who doesn't take no for an answer and gets even when he can't get what he wants _for decades_ before he ran for office. Trying to nuke Denmark if he can't get Greenland is in keeping with his character.

This is why I advocate for everyone to art, however they have to, so they can give rise to that urge, that little voice inside, who knows what their research will find, what they will become because of it.
