Based on the textbook definition of intelligence, one can not simply be intelligent by acquiring knowledge. Those who just do that aren't intelligent. Like @richp86.bsky.social said, you have to be able to then apply what you've learned. That's what makes someone intelligent.

I think that is the misconception about what intelligence actually is. Intelligence: (1) the ability to learn or understand or to deal with new or trying situations (2) the ability to apply knowledge to manipulate one's environment or to think abstractly as measured by objective criteria
