Had a look at a satellite map and yep, looks like they knocked down the DHSs and build the medical centre there. I’m pretty sure rhe building was post war pre-fab, so not surprised it’s gone!

No it used to be on Peel Street, on the left side going up from Dumbarton Road. not sure if the building is still there. It was a prefab post war with a corrugated iron roof. I was a visiting officer (!) and my patch included Gardner Street.

I had to deal with Gardner Street during my first winter working at Patrick DHSS. A loooong time ago. I got up and down it hanging on to railings!
