I got them today too. First thing I did when I got home was this.

I sure would love a poster or some sort of art with this full piece on it. It's so pretty.
The two Forgotten Realms books open so the art from the back to front of each cover flows from one book to the other making one long panoramic piece of art.

These are a few of the books I had ready at hand with examples of English words and phrases translated into Draconic. The oldest one here is from 2008, and I know there are older examples out there.
The most recent one is from this year.
So, this isn't new and it's still being used.

I was playing a solo DND adventure tonight, and it nearly killed me. I sacrificed myself to take out the BBEG and had to roll death saves.

I was feeling good after the first 2. But the next 2 brought me right down. The final roll to determine if I lived or died felt so good when I saw that nat 20.
A series of five death saving throws for a character. The first 2 are successes, followed by 2 failures. The final role to determine if the character will live or die is a critical success with a nat 20.

My weekend plans got totally upended in the best way possible.
My daughter and I are going to try the new D&D starter set and paint a red dragon.

Side note. That starter set box is heavy! I knew it had a lot in it, but the size/weight ratio is crazy.
I hope everything fits back in easily.

Damn. Stopped by my FLGS to finally pick up the new #DnD starter set, and found that it was closed.
A car drove through the front entrance while the place was full of MTG players.
Only 2 minor injuries, thankfully.
It was a young driver that panicked and mixed up the accelerator and the brake.

My daughter made little felt Red Dragon - who has a prosthetic wing and uses a wheelchair - and I can't get over how CUTE it is!
She named them Cardinal and they were raised by a Copper Dragon. They can still fly as well as any other dragon. They just need a running start.

It sounds like they know what works they used to train their model. They could make this really easy and release that info to speed this along.
But it's never easy, groups said. Consider, for example, how now-defunct publishers might add a wrinkle to ownership questions with some books involved in the litigation. Or how rightsholders might be affected if they only own a portion of a work, like a chapter or inserts in academic texts. The district court apparently didn't even consider "what will be done with authors who are dead and whose literary estates hold rights split across multiple parties." There are also many so-called "orphan works," where "identifying rightsholders to address ownership questions will be impossible." If the class action moves forward, groups warned that the court may have to review "hundreds of mini-trials to sort out these issues."

How is Anson able to take his bag of holding into it without destroying both and opening a gate to the astral plane that sucks everything in a 10 foot radius into it?

Placing a Bag of Holding inside an extradimensional space created by a Heward's Handy Haversack, Portable Hole, or similar item instantly destroys both items and opens a gate to the Astral Plane. The gate originates where the one item was placed inside the other. Any creature within a 10-foot-radius Sphere centered on the gate is sucked through it to a random location on the Astral Plane. The gate then closes. The gate is one-way and can't be reopened. Dungeon Master's Guide, pg. 234
