Pagliacci goes to see Pagliacci. He's in the audience, but also on the stage. "Is this, fuck," he thinks. "Am I in a Lynch film right now. Am I in Mullholland Drive." Captured by confusion, horror, and strange, exultant sorrow, the clown must admit he is no longer depressed

People don't seem to understand that a conversation between two characters IS showing, not telling.

It will always be odd to me that so many people think that Jean Grey needed to be "punished" for something she did, however horrible, while under the influence of the man that broke her. Obviously, she had to be stopped, even killed, but "punished" is just right out.

I don't think I can say that Galaxy Rangers is a great show. Entertaining, sure. But that theme...

SOME IMPORTANT NEWS amidst the doom and dumpster fires
Exciting news! We’re thrilled to announce that tapir Yuna gave birth to a rare and endangered Malayan tapir calf Sunday night. The newborn, covered in distinctive white spots and stripes resembling a fuzzy walking watermelon, is only the second tapir born in our 120-year history.

Look, maybe the Democrats and the Republicans will both march us to destruction, but the Republicans are going to do it now by marching us into concentration camps, the Dems will do it later by not making the unpopular changes that will let us go on for generations.

You may have seen the tweet, the bad muskrat says that we watched this list of movies where we, the viewers, sided with the resistance.

But one of them stands out to me. A man who wants to put implants in our brains and hates trans people should keep the Matrix out of his damn mouth.

If the villain of the story is hurt or traumatized, or perhaps has a brain disorder of another sort, I can both feel sorry for that while still knowing they need to be stopped.

Example *waves hand vaguely at US politics right now*

Just found out that someone I've known a few years is a Republican who might have taken offense at some of my posts about our current situation. Funny thing is, even now I don't necessarily condemn every single Republican. I condemn the party that it has become. But there are some try 1/?

You mean it's actually not healthy to take the blame for something so that others aren't put out?

What a concept.

My attempt at art: Upside down drawing of Picasso's "A Portrait of Igor Stravinsky". Unfinished, I gave myself an hour and stopped when the hour was over.

I have Monday off, so that's probably a good day to go in for psychiatric evaluation. Wish me luck, whatever that means for the best outcome.
