One of the failures of the so-called 'law' of supply and demand is the fact that it does not take into account vested interests. While someone can continue to sweat fossil fuel assets for (any) profit, they will continue to do so.

Number of shares on issue X share price. It is effectively a market estimation of value, not necessarily reflecting intrinsic value. TSLA trades around 18x book value. This being the net 'accounting' value.
