I'd never choose to be caught up in a layoff, but compared to the other 3 times it's happened to me, we have a CAT this time and this warm little goofball seriously helps

There was a period during the Obama era where relations were improving and a lot of programs sprung up . But since then China has increasingly been portrayed as an adversary and that probably has influenced enrollment. foreign languages in general has been seeing less enrollment tho

hrm... while i'm irrationally stress shopping. I could really use a proper water sharpening stone.. I've been using a set of DMT diamond plates for the past decade but it'd be nice to have a proper set of stones to really finish things to 5k or 8k grit

ok for completely irrational, probably stress related actions, I might've impulse bought 1 cute olfa hobby knife... and then mayybe just impuse bought a second one in a different style... and a bunch of blades... and i'll probably use it to do something silly like paper cutting

also many don't quite get systems level thinking of the problem (or decide its in their interest to take advantage of things) It's like how people think e-sports prizes should cluster at the top when you actually need money to sustain the lower tier pros to actually have interseting competition
