No Obama didn’t get us where we are now. Republicans buying up all of the influential media got us where we are now. And so did this delusion about Democrats being at fault for things Republicans do.

Calling it silly is dangerously understated. I get that there are aspects of it to poke fun at but this is creeping fascism and it could threaten the future of elections in America.

The voters gave this creature real power over these people. They have to follow chain of command and he is commander in chief. The decision to stage a military crew against the president would be kind of a big deal. They’re in a tough spot.

Have to be careful with that though. One of the stages of fascism is purging the military. They would be replaced by psychotic Republican loyalists. Pressuring them to leave is one step. Hitler and Stalin eventually got a lot more stabby about it.

Maybe we spent too much time down that rabbit hole in recent years. GOP fascism doesn’t take power without an epidemic of cynicism. Authors rarely seem to take the challenge of positive futures.
