I had a 1964 Ford Falcon Ranchero with a bench seat and three on the tree that could haul 3 dirt bikes to the races and I could sleep in the back. We've gone backwards in 60 years.

A lot of people didn't like the Keith and Donna era of the Grateful Dead but I appreciated what they brought to the band, particularly live.

Claire North has been my favorite young genre writer since The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August. For years the's been threatening to to write a chonky epic space opera... and she did it. I'm super excited and have already pre ordered it!

Fleishhacker Pool by the zoo and Ocean beach in San Francisco was 1000' long and 150' wide. It was so big lifeguards patrolled it in small boats and the military used it to practice amphibious landings during WWII.
