For me, the issue is more about how much dialogue is being ADR'd, like, a huge amount of SAM's dialogue this week and most of Jay-Den's all series so far. I wonder if for him it was literally about finding his voice and they nailed it down after a few episodes and had to go back to synch it all up.

Yeah, the specifics are Whatever but the gift it is to the premise probably can't be overstated. The cast is absurdly talented too. Honestly, the only quibbles I have are that the theme song is pretty weak and there's a lot of weird ADR which confuses me, but ok, I'll take that.

It's a really canny use of highschool/college archetypes. I do not buy that any of those characters are 17 (other than SAM but that doesn't quite count) but it's easy enough to hand wave them up two or three years since they look like it. That's not even a complaint, barely even a quibble.
