I worked out what you meant! Sorry I misread your post. There have always been isolated kids and kids that struggle but in my view the general damage caused by social media far outweighs any possible benefit to a view.

I don't know what you mean to be honest. Why can't kids ask for help if they aren't on social media?

What is the harm in banning social media for under 16s? I struggle to think of a down side.

I'm a (boringly) lefty teacher that has voted Labour every GE of my life. I don't know if I would vote for Starmer again.

Do we know who made this (apparently) outrageous decision? I am a Jewish history teacher and few things have made me as angry as this. I am going to write to HMDT and encourage colleagues to do so.

Heard him on Ezra Klein back in the day and to me he seemed incoherent. The state is evil but the state must impose Christian values. I don't get how that works

My understanding is the proposed P8 measure includes 4 slots with incentive to choose at least 2 from 'creative' subjects, humanities and languages. This does not seem to put hums and arts in competition with each other.

Do you think it reflects ideological impulses? Or do they simply believe this is where the votes are?

I think they are mostly at risk of attack because they are Israeli ... but violently targeting any group of people is actually not ok! We risk making it sound like if they were being violently targeted simply because they are Israeli, this would be fine.
