Thanks for the details. I didn't mean that mutability in #rust is bad. I was just realising that after years of #fsharp programming, I am so used to immutability that I get surprised when it's working differently 😉

Yes indeed! 👍

Computation Expressions are the base of 2 of my favourite #fsharp libs: github.com/fsprojects/F... and github.com/CaptnCodr/Fli

thanks for it, for me Fli is really one of the F# ecosystem gems!

Looks interesting. Is it publicly available?

Any more details about what specifically destroyed your excitement? I would appreciate the opportunity to learn from your experience, as a non specialist in dotnet.

Is it a realistic idea to share code, like types and common functions, between an #fsharp backend and a #rust client thanks to fable? And would values of shared types easily be serialised for communication between both?

To start with #fsharp you have fsharp scripts,a lightweight approach to get started rapidly, but still allows an easy transition to a compiled project. I blogged about this approach at asfaload.com/blog/fsharp-... Maybe this approach is easier to apply to exploration code without a hard commit to f#?

Are you posting about #fsharp too? It feels as C# focused, which is of no interest to me.

It's just that in the weekends I watch less my mails but spend more time in the browser, hence my regular visits 😉
