“We pretend to be innocent victims. Of course the Arabs attacked us. Since they have no armies, they could not obey the rules of war. They perpetrated all the barbaric acts that are characteristic of a colonial revolt.”

This was written in 1929. By a Zionist.

Trump has no values, principles, or ideology--other than love for himself. If it suits his mood, he'll put an end to the genocide and may even turn against Netanyahu. We can only hope.
Tweet of trump saying Hamas is ready for peace and Israel must stop bombing Gaza

Daniel Boyarin wrote in 2006:

"It has been said by many Christians that Christianity died in Auschwitz, Treblinka, and Sibubor. I fear--God forbid--that my Judaism may be dying in Nablus, Daheishe, Beteen, and al-Khalil".

If written in 2025, his Judaism would have died in Gaza.

If you do believe there is an ongoing genocide, as the overwhelming majority of humanitarians, researchers, and journalists believe, then taking tangible actions (like providing military escorts to humanitarian convoys to Gaza) is only logical
Screenshot of an Haaretz article with the headline "Italian Government Faces Growing Backlash Over Gaza Policy: 'Should We Declare War on Israel?'" and the subheading "As Italian parliament members sail toward Gaza on the flotilla, an estimated 700 foreign ministry employees called on Italy to take measures against Israel and protect the flotilla, days after a nationwide general strike and day of protest in solidarity with Gaza"

Can't overstate how much Israelis feel that they've been abandoned by the entire world and must fend for themselves.

(It's as if the thousand-pound bombs delivered through the war and US warships actively defending Israel simply... didn't exist)

After so much time spent in Israel Palestine and so many conversations about the conflict, I remain amazed at how many *secular* Israelis believe that Jews have an inherent right to this land because... we were here 2,000 years ago

Night‑time sticker spree in the center of Tel Aviv. From top to bottom and left to right:
- Genocide. 80 years after the Holocaust.
- Total victory = Final solution. ("total victory" is a pro-war slogan)
- Memorial to Palestinian journalists murdered in Gaza
- There is no military solution

Today's anti genocide protest in Tel Aviv. Disrupted by right wingers but no violence. Today's chants included:
- Katz, Katz, minister of Defense, how many children have you killed today
- From the river to the sea, freedom and equality for everybody
- Peace, equality, social justice

Just left the West Bank but still receiving updates from activists facing settler violence...

God I hate nationalism (let alone colonialism)

Settlers are bringing construction material to continue preparing the mobile homes, right in the middle of Umm al Khair, for permanent residents.

They brought the kids because who said colonialism couldn't be family-friendly?

After settlers murdered Saeed yesterday, they came back today during the Saeed's funeral ceremony and opened fire on mourners

Settlers just attacked the village of Al-Mughayir, in the northern West Bank. In the attack, one of the settlers shot and killed a 20-year-old Palestinian man, Saeed Murad Al-Nassan.

All the settlers were wearing white, in honor of the Jewish holiday.

I met a Jewish Israeli activist doing protective presence in Umm Al Khair. He lost *six* friends at the Nova Festival on October 7th.

Yet he's spending most of his wake time fighting apartheid and genocide in the West Bank, Gaza border, Jerusalem, Haifa.

Grief isn't a license to stay silence.

I don't know what's funnier: that the antisemitic US far-right thinks Israel is behind the Kirk murder, that Netanyahu is so desperately pandering to these antisemites, or that Netanyahu thinks this ridiculous video will help debunking the conspiracy theory

If released by the judge will I be convinced thereby that justice still prevails in your courts? Regardless of how just or unjust this ruling will be, and despite all your racist and inhumane practices and Occupation, we will continue to believe in peace, justice and human values.

I did not incite anyone to throw stones, but I am not responsible for the security of your soldiers who invade my village and attack my people with all the weapons of death and the equipment of terror.
raphmim.bsky.social
The military prosecutor accuses me of inciting the protesters to throw stones at the soldiers. This is not true. What incites protesters to throw stones is the sound of bullets, the Occupation’s bulldozers as they destroy the land, the smell of teargas and the smoke coming from burnt houses.

Land theft and tree-burning is unjust. Violent repression of our demonstrations and protests and your detention camps are not evidence of the illegality of our actions. It is unfair to be tryed under a law forced upon us. I know that I have rights and my actions are just.
raphmim.bsky.social
I do not know which laws are upheld by generals who are inhibited by fear and insecurity, nor do I know their thoughts on the civil resistance of women, children and old men who carry hope and olive branches. But I know what justice and reason are.
