Geographer- too many interests to take academia seriously (thanks ADHD)? Teach courses in data science, cartography, and GeoAI Literacy. If it's tactile art, I've probably attacked it in a hyperfocus episode ⭐
My step-doggo Buttercup not having fun at the vet. She's the sweetest most gentle old girl. She stays slim with her 2-3 hours of walking a day, lol. Kiddo's bday present 8 years ago.

I spent all yesterday cleaning scale and mealy bugs off over 120 plants yesterday. Between when I was last back 3 wks ago and they got overwhelmed. And of course systemic pesticide was not cheap but I now own a large bottle of Safari.

I was at the orchid show this afternoon to set up our club display and found this beautiful cat from Nat's orchids in Naperville.

Look what came in the mail today. Yay! The Eye of Intelligence came all the way from the UK💛

I love getting pics of the pets. The elderly doggo and cat were seen snuggling this morning. Besties always. Between the four of them the guest bed is always a mess, lol. Spoiled.

The kiddo sent along this image of the northern lights from central Idaho his neighborhood. Beautiful.

Well, no more time for new maps it would seem so here's one from last month for analog. Doodle of the UP. You can tell I started in copper harbor since the points not pointy and my hometown has an exaggerated bay 🥹 #30daymapchallenge

Went for a run around campus to collect some data points, accidently got a picture of me in the act. Also, shout out to Topo for having the most comfortable long runs shoes in my closet.

#30DayMapChallenge My Data. An ode to Amtrak. Both the bane of my existence and love of my life. (Trigger warning... bright obnoxious colors and mayhem ahead...) May it make you feel the same way I do every trip!

My contribution is lazy at best tonight but today was pure chaos and I don't have anymor energy for it. Map from the initial discussions of the Project I WIP last night. Polygons. Day 3. #30DayMapChallenge

#30DayMapChallenge #WIP Got my long run in, worked on a map for a scavenger hunt for heaters tomorrow. So this got smooshed in before bed. Hopefully less spelling errors than yesterday:) Probably submitting mostly half done things since it's the busy time of the semester.

Our good friend Dan, a ceramicist, holds a "Ghost remake" of the throwing scene. This year for my birthday I convinced the husband we should do it to add to our collection of chicken terror photos. My face unfortunately pops in a bit but hey, getting him to do this was a major win.💛

She's looking pretty rough. Not happy with her current place in the house. But she's fully bloomed now. 23.5" tendrils

I finished it. Book 12 of 2025. It was such a fast read once I got into it. Atlas of AI needs to get done next and I'm 100% sure I will not hit 20 books in 2025.:(

I hope the person using a crosscut saw in the dorm room above me doesn't plan on doing it all night since I left my noise cancelling headphones in the office. Also, a very random new set of watercolor paints for play.

We're doing some sentiment analysis next semester in two classes and so I thought I'd refresh my mind before I try to teach it again. I won't say what the topic is in this trial, but you can probably guess from the way the title sentiments are aligned geographically.

I miss my dogs.
