P1: An establishing shot --from high up-- within a large opulent looking office. In silhouette, a worker pleads their case to their boss who sits in a throne like chair behind a desk.

"Thank yeh fer seein' me on such short notice, sir. I know yer a busy man, so I'll keep it brief."

P2: Closeup of the employee, who is one of those antropo-- anthropom--

humans with a dog nose you often see in Disney stuff. He is middleaged, balding, and has a 'tache. He has a red scarf around his neck, and his clothing could be described as very Depression-era. Clutched before him in his two hands is a peaked cap.

He continues: "Me 'n' the family --well-- we're havin' trouble keepin' a roof over our heads--"

P3: As he continues his plea off-panel, we get a good look at his boss. It's a tiny white duck dressed like Scrooge McDuck.

"'n' I was wonderin', sir.. would yeh be so kind as teh grant me a--"

P3: A closeup of the duck's horrified (well, as horrified as a duck can look, anyways) face, as the employee ends with

"--raise?"

P4: A wide --side on-- shot of the employee (on the right) watching nervously as the duck (on the left) hops up on the table, and begins to walk toward the edge

P5: Suddenly, in utter fury, the duck flies toward the fear-stricken underling, with a loud "qweq, QWEQ!"

P6: A closeup on the unfortunate worker's eye, as his boss' beak --moving rapidly-- inches ever closer to it

P7: CHLEP! We suddenly cut to a white gloved hand piercing a single green pea with a fork

P8: We dolly back to reveal a disheveled mother and a child sat at an upturned cardboard box, which is doubling as a table. A single empty plate sits on top, as the mother feeds her son the single pea.

She ends the comic with an unfortunate "...your daddy'll be home soon, Jimmy-- and we'll get through this, you'll see."
