again i know its a very catholic reading wrt guilt and stuff but being that sera literally confesses to the speaker, i think that it’s fair to assume that these themes will be present, if not played straight then actively subverted.

angel i think is complicated in the sense that i wholly believe him murdering his father will be justified by the plot, but is clearly struggling with the fact that he did it, shown by the fact that he cant even stomach being called a murderer. guilt plays a part in why he’s shackled to hell.

pentious believed he deserve to be in hell, so along w the inaction, he ended up there. once he sacrificed himself, he not only made up for his sin, but he allowed himself to be free and ascend.
