Our family's old place in the North Carolina mountains. The main part of the house is nearly 200 years old. We dodged a bullet with the remnants of Hurricane Helene, but many of our neighbors all around essentially lost everything. Whoever build our house where it is selected an excellent site!

Hiking in North Carolina a few years back. This area was badly damaged by Hurricane/Tropical Storm Helene about two months ago. The natural areas will recover quicker than many of the man-made areas nearby. I'll be watching and documenting.
