I hope it gets to the final list of nominees for best international film, I'll probably never watch it because I'm not much into epic films myself with some exceptions but would be absolutely badass to see Lav in hollywood attending the ceremony, he's a real one.

La cuenta esta suspendida y esta en "read-only mode" y te deja loguearte pero no sirve de nada, no te deja ver los DMs, si quieres ver tus tweets previos solo puedes scrollear 2 semanas para atras, no puedes ver a quien seguías, es casi como si nunca exististe, una bronca!

Will be taking a few days off now but I will be back very soon, I'll be doing things a bit differently from now on, I'll have to stop posting new releases but the rare film uploads will continue and probably even more than before, sort of going back to the roots and to what made rarefilmm stand out.

At the same time I should be happy that I was able to last so long, posting links in the open like that for over 10 years and reaching 50k followers is an incredible feat and something that I never thought to be possible, thank you very much to everyone who made it possible, I'm very grateful.

I'm very sad for losing the og account and I wish it could be recovered but it's a lost cause. I had that account since 2013, even before I started rarefilmm so I got attached to it, it was also through that account that I was able to meet a lot of wonderful people that I consider friends today.

New accounts on Twitter are @ raremoviesguy and @ rarefilmarchive please follow those, I'll be posting new stuff soon, I'll post here as well but tbh I never really liked Bluesky, the presence of the latin community here is pretty much nonexistent as that matters a lot to me.

As most of you know already my Twitter account got terminated, I thought it was just going to be a couple days suspension but Twitter support confirmed that it will not be restored due to copyright infringements so it's time to start over. New uploads are coming.

Thank you! I should put this one on rarefilmm since it has subs, btw I think I have a few copies of Filipino films downloaded from iTunes, they all should have Eng. subs if you're interested lmk, they are only 720p but the quality is better than Youtube because the compression isn't as big there.

I just realized there's one ABS-CBN restored movie with English subtitles! This is because they got the copy of Nunal sa Tubig (Speck In The Water) from Fukuoka City's library

And yes, that means it has hardcoded Japanese and English subs

If you missed your chance to see HOT DOGS FOR GAUGUIN (1972), Martin's Brest thesis film at NYU starring a young Danny DeVito when it leaked in 2022 you can now correct that as someone has uploaded an HD copy of it on Youtube! This was imposible to see for 50 years!
