For narrative, use audio logs, visual cues, and environmental storytelling that blend naturally. Hide story elements in spots where players must crouch, reach, or move to find, which leverages physical space to deepen immersion and worldbuilding.

Create a safe space for learning and practicing object interactions such as reaching, gripping, or selecting. Instead of always bending to pick items, add a “magnetic pull" to the hand or use physics-based design for a more interactive and engaging experience.

New/experienced players can forget A/B or X/Y button positions. Use passthrough or display virtual controller in-game to assist them. Avoid the need to remove headset, as it breaks immersion and momentum while playing.

Provide players with a sense of progression or achievement early in the game.

The idea here is to shorten the time to fun and engagement within around 30 minutes as not everyone is able to use the headset for a long period and may end the gameplay session sooner.

Consider animation, video, or mirror to assist visual learning to clearly demonstrate or describe gestures, specifically full body motion and hand gestures, make sure to use the particular word for it such as point, pinch, tap and touch etc.

Tutorials has to be positioned thoughtfully and purposefully to be of assistance rather than a hindrance.

Avoid locking the text in a player’s periphery, make use of audio cues, diagrams and icons, elements that are obvious and effortless to be noticed.

Consider seated and standing forms of gameplay options. Either they get tired and will approach the sitting position or stand up when things get exciting.

Ensure the game is able to calibrate the settings based on these scenarios.
